The Rise of Darkrai

The 10th movie, ‘The Rise Of Darkrai’, has been announced on Cartoon Network and darkrai.com, airing in March.

Darkrai has been announced on both its own site and www.go-pokemon.com.

The time is nigh… now all we do is wait.

 PS. Time and Darkness Exploration Team’s English titles are ‘Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness’. Kind of a meh title to me; I liked ‘Exploration Team’ better.

New Stuff + Contests Page!

Hi!

• Well, Darkrai’s release is getting closer by the minute. With the Great Encounters prereleases in the first week of February, Darkrai is due to make its appearance within two weeks. (How would the judges explain if someone got a Darkarai card in their booster pack? )
• I am getting into the TCG and TFG more, although I still stink at it.
• I am starting a Contests page! The first contest is:

GTS CONTEST (#1): Put any Pokemon on my Top 10 list, nicknamed ‘Pkmnstrtgy’, up for trade on the GTS looking for any 1st or 4th gen. starter. If you are one of the three lucky winners, you will receive that Pokemon from me! It will be holding the Evolution item of your choice or even a Master Ball! For more details and rules, see the Contests page.

• Mystery Dungeon 2 will be released in April, May or June.
• Please remember to vote! (See previous post)

In other news, there is another slide/clip thing (alongside the Battle Revolution codes and the Pokemon Snap info), featuring Darkrai. Darkrai zooms around the page for a bit before placing itself in the middle of the dark, stormy slide. It then grows bigger and text appears saying ‘Who is this Pokemon?’. Obviously, Darkrai will be released any day now…!!!

Diamond Dust in Snowpoint City!!

For today only, all Wi-Fi users can see something other than snow in Snowpoint City!! Instead of the usual slowly falling snow, there are sparkles falling from the sky known as Diamond Dust. Even the sign for the Snowpoint City Gym has changed to say:

‘Snowpoint City Pokemon Gym

The Diamond Dust Girl!’

Also, if you were to hack a battle in Snowpoint City (NOT the Pokemon Gym or the Snowpoint Temple), Diamond Dust would be a weather effect. Cool, huh?

And if you were wondering why you need Wi-Fi, it’s because Nintendo needs to update your game. If you have Wi-Fi, it will automatically be updated – no need to go into a bunch of menus or whatever.

Remember, this special effect is only in place today (Saturday, January 12), so check it out while you can!

Pokemon Ranger 2 Confirmed!

Pokemon Ranger 2 has been confirmed by CoroCoro! It is called ‘Pokemon Ranger: Battonage’ in Japan and will be released on March 30 there. Here is what I know so far:

-Darkrai seems to have a major role in this, with a shadowy figure looming over Lucario, Heatran and Cresselia in the picture.

-You can choose your own partner!! Yaaaaaaay!!!!!!! So instead of Plusle or Minun, you can choose either:

Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Starly, Kricketot, Munchlax, Mime Jr. (Bonsly discrimination much??), Cranidos, Shieldon, Pachirisu, Croagunk, Hippopotas, Gible, Snover, Machop, Misdreavus (now it’s Murkrow discrimination :rolls: ) and Sneasel.

-There are mini-missions or sidequests which are known as Quests.

-One of the Field Moves appears to be Surf!

-There are also Cards, which are like power-ups for your Capture Styler.

-It may use Wi-Fi a little bit, but not to a major extent.

Wow… so much news and so many updates, so little time.

Darkrai Attacks!

For a moment when Pokemon.com’s servers were down, I thought Darkrai’s shadow was gone. But alas -

It has returned… WITH A VENEGANCE!!!

It is now sporting a battle pose, and appears by the links bar and zooms up towards the Pokemon logo – the opposite of before. Here is a picture of its new shadow’s art:

It should be noted that the first shadow was the Ken Sugimori artwork, which usually applies to the video games, and the second was the Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai artwork, which applies to the movie. So the event will probably be first and the movie release second.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl: Great Encounters

Guess what?? I got further information on the next TCG set! ^_^ Plus pictures to boot!!

       

 As a recap, the theme decks are called Endless Night (Darkrai), Eternal Time (Dialga), and Infinite Space (Palkia). But the Diamond and Pearl theme will probably close at the 5th extention, and as this is the 4th… I wonder what the next theme will be called? It would be cool if they had a Mystery Dungeon theme, in honor of MD2, but that probably couldn’t last very long anyway. Or a Ranger one. So… would there be a Pokemon Opal theme? But if it is set to be released in ‘08, that’ll be a while… Although Great Encounters has solved some questions, it left more than it answered! I guess only time (or space!) will tell.

 PARTAY!!!!

 Ok, anyway, here’s the scoop on what’s happening:

-Somehow, I can’t connect to Pokemon.com to check on our little Darkrai pal. I’ve tried and tried, but I think it’s something with Pokemon.com and not my connection. If anyone CAN connect to it (or cannot), please comment and give me an update.

-Cranberry K and I are working on some new stuff (3 things to be precise).. I’m sorry I haven’t been working on the updates, but I’ve been pretty busy between Cran and Psyduck (with the Mystery Dungeon page).

-A new quote should be up momentarily; thanks for being patient with the delays.

-The holiday Pokemon has yet to make its appearence, and I apologize for this as well. Wait… is that sleigh bells I hear? …Does Groudon even have ears?? Hmm, sounds like the entry should be arriving soon.

-I might get pictures up in the Featured Pokemon section, thanks to Cran. Yay!

-During the winter vacation, I have met two new little friends who may be appearing on Pokemon Strategy! However, this is uncertain as of yet, but we should hope they will arrive by this year.
