The Rise of Darkrai on CN
Hey!
I watched the Rise of Darkrai yesterday when it aired on Cartoon Network. It was really awesome. I like Darkrai’s voice, and have you ever noticed that Palkia’s cry sounds like its cry in the video game? (except when it’s charging up for an attack – they gave it a new cry for that) On the contrary, Dialga’s cry is more like a hiss/roar, but when it charges up (esp. for Roar of Time), you can hear its cry from D/P. Kind of fun to notice. It’s also interesting that Ash has no clue what 10 x 10 is.
He also apparently likes cotton candy.
I think this movie was:
1st movie <
2nd movie > (the flute music sounds better!
)
3rd movie <
4th movie <
5th movie =
6th movie <
7th movie <
8th movie =
9th movie <
Which equals AWESOME MOVIE!
I hope they’ll do an encore for all of you who missed it.

Giratina: Origin Form and Contest Closed
Hi!
Well, I got more information on Giratina’s Origin form. This is what it looks like:

This, in my opinion, is a perfect second form of Giratina (although it looks a little odd). Giratina is based on a Basilisk, and there are three interpretations of a basilisk. One is a monstrous lizard with 6 legs. That would be Giratina: normal form. The other is an enormous serpent without legs (like the one in Harry Potter). That’s Giratina: origin form. But what about the last one? Well… the last one is an evil chicken with magical powers. (I’m not kidding!) I believe Giratina would kill you if you tried to eat it for dinner.
However, I’m wondering if Giratina – in either form – has the usual basilisk powers of making people turn to stone/get paralyzed by its gaze?
As well, when I checked for Pokemon on the GTS on Friday, there was not one to be seen, unfortunately. So the contest is now closed. No prizes (Master Balls, Sacred Ash, Thunderstone)were awarded. I will re-run the contest next month, as well as a new contest to celebrate Darkrai’s release when it is released on Diamond/Pearl.
Also, you may have noticed I changed the tagline and header temporarily. You lieks? (countdown ’til the 24th…)
Well, see you next time!

Movie 11: Giratina and the Bouquet of the Sky: Shaymin

Name change, 103.
Giratina and the Bouquet of the Sky
Giratina and the Bouquet of the Icy Sky
Giratina and the Bouquet of the Sky: Shaymin
And HOW is that different than ‘Giratina’s Flower Garden and the Flying Potato Show’?? Shaymin is practically MADE of flowers, and I swear those blinky lighty things on Regigigas are really food colored potatoes!!!! (or ‘The Three Little Dragons and the Big Bad Hedgehog + a robot to boot’, The evil dinosaur who lived in a boquet with three floating kitty cats who lived in lakes but then they got kicked out by a bazillion magikarp and a politoed named Bob but wait why would cats live in water? anyway then the evil dinosaur… wait the cats don’t live with him palkia and darkrai and dialga do… i think… well anyway this movie is about an evil dinosaur and a blue giraffe, pink/purple bear thing and creepy floating black this in tutu’… I think you get the point.)
Oh well… at least we got the Ken Sugimori official Shaymin artwork.
There is also news of Giratina having two forms: one is its normal form, and the other is the one it uses to go between dimensions. And Ash and friends just happen to go to another dimension – Shaymin’s – with the help of Giratina. Is it speculation, or is this a clue?
Anyway, Ultimate Pokemon Strategy will be re-opening in a little bit. Thanks for your patience.
And one last reminder to enter the contest tomorrow! Good luck trying to nail that elusive Master Ball, Sacred Ash, or Thunderstone!

It’s All in the Mail
Hi again!
Today the Mailbag section of Pokemon.com revealed some exciting and disappointing news. The bad news first:
Quoting the ‘Darkrai’s Debut’ mailbag: “Will Pokemon: Rise of Darkrai be released in theatres? This may come as a disappointment, but despite what you have heard (most likely referring to Cartoon Network’s false information stating ‘a clip before the movie hits theatres’ that threw us all off), Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai will not have a theatrical release – it will premier on Cartoon Network and then be released on DVD.” MAJOR disappointment there. I was hoping for Eigakan (Japanese Darkrai given away at the movie premier in theatres which knows Roar of Time and Spacial Rend), but I was mislead by the evil Fried Dynamite dude, and proved wrong by the Mailbag. *sighs* Oh, well. Maybe they’ll give Eigakan (working nickname) away over Wi-Fi?
And the better news:
“Is there any plan to create another Pokemon game for a handheld console? At this point, it’s more than just a plan! There’s definitely another Pokemon game coming out for the Nintendo DS…
What is the next Pokemon game? …And we’re getting ready to tell you all about it, so stay tuned – we’ll have more details soon!“
You know what this means! MD2!!!!!!!!! And perfect timing: the Mystery Dungeon section should be completed soon.

PS. I won the Prereleases for Great Encounters on Sunday! ^_^ (plus I got a Darkrai card to boot!)

Of Contests and Darkrai and Strategy too
Plus more info on Rise of Darkrai for you! I’m a poet and I didn’t know it! Note to self: needs more work.
BREAKING NEWS TO MOVIE FANS!!!! see bottom of post
Yesterday, I thought that on Darkrai.com, my computer was acting up when I saw this. But I surfed the web a bit, and found this:
(thanks to Pokebeach.com for the image)
So it was true after all.
The day Darkrai.com aired, if you were to go to it and click on ’Video Game’, there would be this error message, probably from one of the makers of darkrai.com to another.
Also, Pokemon Strategy’s first contest, the GTS contest, has its rules up. A brief recap: You can win the 100% guaranteed catch Pokeball: the Master Ball, the ultimate healing item which can heal all party Pokemon to full health and only available through a Nintendo event: the Sacred Ash, or a hard-to-find Thunderstone, which is key to evolving Pikachu into Raichu and Eevee into Jolteon! How? By entering the GTS Contest! Please go to the Contest page to learn more.
Also, Pokemon Strategy’s ‘Ultimate Pokemon Strategy’ page will be temporarily closed. Don’t worry, it’s not gone; just password protected and will be back with updates and 3 brand-new Featured Pokemon!
HEADLINE NEWS!!! 10th MOVIE: Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai to air February 24 on Cartoon Network (US date and channel)!!!!! Another thing you might want to note is that the Fried Dynamite people said “see a clip of Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai months before it hits theaters”. Months before it hits theaters. Key fact: “It hits theaters”!! Does this mean I was wrong? Is the rising popularity of Pokemon and the awesome quality and plot of the newest movie enough to bring Pokemon back to the REALLY big screen? Best of all, does that mean we get the legendary Eigakan, AKA ‘Movie Darkrai’ – with Roar of Time and Spacial Rend???? We’ll just have to find out! Stay posted!

PS. I have been ill for the past few days, which explains the lack of posts.

The Rise of Darkrai
IMPORTANT! EDIT: DARKRAI HAS BEEN RELEASED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
www.darkrai.com is here.
The 10th movie, ‘The Rise Of Darkrai’, has been announced on Cartoon Network and darkrai.com, airing in March.
Darkrai has been announced on both its own site and www.go-pokemon.com.
The time is nigh… now all we do is wait.
-Shdowgroudon
PS. Time and Darkness Exploration Team’s English titles are ‘Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness’. Kind of a meh title to me; I liked ‘Exploration Team’ better.
PPS. We are now waiting for the Darkrai event.

DARKRAI HAS APPEARED!!!!!!
Hey everyone!
I’ve got some cool news for all of you! There is a Darkrai shadow (an outline of Darkrai, filled in with black) that appears on the front page of Pokemon.com!! This is very similar to the appearing and disappearing Manaphy Egg about a month before the Manaphy Code and 9th Movie were released…! If you wait approximately 5 seconds, a Darkrai shadow with a purple aura will fade in, float down the screen to one of the three ‘link tabs’ (it changes every time), pause there for about 20 seconds, then zoom off in a blur of darkness back where it came from.
This could mean one of many things:
-the US will get the Darkrai ticket soon
-the US will get the 10th Movie soon
-the US will get the Movie Darkrai (nickname: “Eigakan” in Japan) (this is assuming the tenth movie, if not both, of the above happen) soon
More proof that Darkrai is liable to be released any time now is the announcement by Pokemon USA about a new TCG set; ‘Diamond and Pearl: Great Encounters’!
Here is the description:
—
Witness Legendary Battles… Experience Great Encounters
Palkia. Dialga. A mysterious legend emerging from the darkness to challenge all comers.Who will stand victorious? In the Pokémon TCG: Diamond & Pearl – Great Encounters expansion, these incredible Pokémon come together to battle one another in an epic confrontation that will be a triumph for Trainers everywhere! With more brand-new Pokémon, more Pokémon LV.X, and a titanic clash of some of the most powerful Pokémon ever, Great Encounters is your chance to encounter greatness!
- More new Diamond & Pearl Pokémon!
- More powerful new Pokémon LV.X
- Includes two brand-new Legendary Pokémon, Cresselia and a mysterious, powerful Pokémon…
- Features three theme decks built around new Diamond & Pearl Pokémon!
- Exciting holographic parallel set for players and collectors alike
- Over 100 cards in all!
In Stores February 2008!
—
This obviously means that Darkrai may be released in early January, followed by the release of its Trading Card and Set. (speaking of which, the Starter Decks are going to be called Eternal Time (Dialga), Infinite Space (Palkia), and Endless Night (Darkrai)) This also means that the movie will probably be released in late January or early February. So:
-Darkrai release: Late December – Early January
-Darkrai Event?: Mid January
-Darkrai Movie: Late January – Early February
-Diamond and Pearl: Great Encounters: Mid February – Late February
That’s all about Darkrai for now! However… the Featured Pokemon, Torterra, has been released, the new quote is up, and the Pokemon Predictions section has been updated with this new info. Also, there may be a special appearance here by next year.
Your patience will be rewarded with a holiday present on the 16th! Yay! ^_^ So, until next time!

MOVIE 11: Giratina and the Bouquet of the Icy Sky
I have awesome news! The 11th Pokemon movie formerly thought to be solely about Regigigas and Shaymin is now known to be starring Giratina as well!! Its prolouge lends credence to the 10th movie, saying that ‘the war between the legendary Pokemon Dialga, Palkia and Giratina continues’. How Shaymin and Regigigas are involved in this, I do not know. Stay tuned for more updates!
-Shadon
12/8/07: I apologize; the movie is called the Bouquet of the Sky and not the Garden in the Sky! Also, you can visit the official website HERE: http://www.pokemon-movie.jp/trailer/index.html . It will be released in Japan in July 19, 2008. Not to worry, though, because the US should get the release of Movie 10 (Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai) soon – please check Pokemon Predictions for more info.
12/16/07: Never mind, it is now called ‘the Bouquet of the Icy Sky’. Grr. Next it’ll be called ‘Giratina’s Flower Garden and the Flying Potato Show!’. *rolls eyes*
