I’VE RETURNED WITH A VENEGEANCE!!!!!!!!!

You’ll never believe this, but I’m alive.

I’m really sorry for not being active for, what, a year now? Probably longer.

Anyway, I’m not promising anything about being SUPER ACTIVE, 24/7. But I’ll post at least once a month, maybe every two weeks. Sorry, but it’s better than nothing, right?

Now, for a quick FAQ for questions asked while I was gone:

Q: WHERE WERE YOU?!?!?!?
A: I got a life. =D No, just kidding. School was the main thing to blame for my disappearance, though I admit I did kind of… *cough* … forget about *cough* this site… *cough* *cough* … sorry! Please don’t kill me!

Q: WHERE’S THE FIFTH GENERATION POKEMON?!?!?
A: THERE IS NONE!!!!!! It turns out that the mysterious figure was NOTCHED-EAR PICHU (Gizamimi Pichu). This is NOT a fifth generation Pokemon! It was an old post, and at the time it seemed as if it would be kind of like Lugia in Movie 2, Latios and Latias in Movie 5, Munchlax in Movie 7, and Lucario, Weavile, and Bonsly in Movie 8 – they’d make a guest appearance. This was incorrect. The alleged “5th gen Pokemon,” or “Pokemon B,” was Shaymin Sky Form.

Q: OMG WERE DO I GET ARUSEUSS!!!11
A: You don’t. Unless you are: A) living in Japan, where they are having an Arceus event (a Lv. 100 Arceus with the moves Judgement, Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, and Shadow Force – the latter three are unlearnable except by this event) to celebrate the 12th movie, or B) using an Action Replay. See below for my opinion on the AR.

Q: Can you give me an Action Replay code for _________?
A: Let me make this clear: I DO NOT USE HACKING DEVICES OF ANY KIND. This includes ARs, Gamesharks, and Pokesav. Personally, I think hacking makes a game “unfun” and boring, but I can see why people might want to hack. Don’t worry, it’s okay if you do, just ask about it SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Q: Is Pokemon Crater back?/HEY GUYS! POKEMON CRATER IS BACK!! GO TO THIS SITE!!
A: Pokemon Crater, to the extent of my knowledge, is gone. Other sites have popped up, such as Pokemon Indigo and Pokemon Net, but they are different from Pokemon Crater. DON’T BELIEVE ANYTHING ABOUT POKEMON CRATER BEING BACK. If it really and truly does, I’ll let you guys know.

Q: How do you do/get/find ____________ in Pokemon _________ Version/Pokemon Mystery Dungeon _______/etc.?
A: Since this seems to be the most common question, I will TRY to do something about it. I will TRY to post one secret “cheat” a day during the rest of this summer. The key word being try. So to accomplish this, I’m going to have to stop all other projects on this site over the summer. But for now, check out POKEMON SECRETS every day for a new secret!!!!!!

Q: Where did the pages: D/P Pokedex, D/P Walkthrough, Fun Stuff, and Contests go??
A: As I said, I’m stopping all the projects, which means deleting those pages for now. Sorry about that.

Q: Do you have a Youtube account?
A: Not YET… >=D MWAHAHA!!! Yes, I’ll be getting one soon. Be patient! When I get one, the first video series I’ll post will be a PMD Walkthrough, then a PMD3 Walkthrough, and finally a few Platinum battles! I might do other stuff such as AMVs and non-Pokemon related videos too!

PS. I’ve gotten a LOT better at competitive battling. As in, I finally understand what the term means. And SubSalac, Phazing, and all that good stuff.

PPS. I got to the second round of one of the Pokemon Video Game Championships tournaments, using Rain Dance and NOT TRICK ROOM!!!!!!!!! …then promptly lost to the guy who won 2nd. -_- Darn Smeargles. (And I decided at the last minute not to bring my Sleep Talking Swampert, too…) I’ll post the battle video number later.

Meanwhile another Senior friend of mine got to the finals by facing noobs the whole way through, and Kyogreky’s little brother, in Juniors, got into the finals with Feraligatr, Salamence, Garchomp, and Dragonite. And I think Salamence knew Rock Smash, too. But of course he was pitted against the only good team in Juniors – a hail team. Yeah. Blizzard FTL. And Kyogreky herself unfortunately lost in the first round to some more tough competition…

OH WELL!! WHO CARES ABOUT THAT, THE TOURNEY WAS AWESOME!!!

I finally got the time to put up the new quote!! Also, the Featured Pokemon’s entry should be completed soon, as well as the Mystery Dungeon page and the other surprise page. But remember, I won’t add another section to the Ultimate Pokemon Strategy page unless I get enough votes, so get some friends and vote for either:

-Battle Combos (killer combos to wipe out your competitors)

-Training Tips (easy EVs and Exp.)

-Abilities/Characteristics (what they mean and what they do)

Goodbye, cruel world *playing taps*

Pokemon Crater is gone. Despite the broken hearts of many, it has been destroyed. Let us all observe a moment of silence to remember all of our Pokemon there, never to be seen again; all of the maps; all of your points; the new Pokemon Dratinice, Dratinire and Dratinilic; the Dark, Metallic, Shiny and Ghostly Pokemon and the new type which never was; the forums and the effort that was put into them; the awesome methods of training; the excitement of playing, trading, catching and battling; and the fun of interacting with friends.

 It is now 7:02 AM my time. This is my minute of non-typing silence in honor of Pokemon Crater, and I hope you will do the same at the fall of such a website.

(I will not post any other posts today for the sake of Pokemon Crater, so here is the news: the next Strategy Pokemon is an ankylosaurus/turtleish Pokemon which may be based on the many legends of turtles carrying the world on their back. It might have been classified as a dual type with two of the following: Grass, Ground or Rock-types - during the pre-release period. It also has appearances as Paul’s Pokemon of choice to battle Cynthia’s Garchomp with in the episode ‘Top-Down Training’. It is the Grass-type starter’s final evolution in a certain region. Also, this Pokemon’s back blends in perfectly with the forest. But when this enormous Pokemon makes its appearence, it won’t stay hidden for long!

Another thing you may have noticed is the lack of quotes, and right after this I will hop to it.

I hope we remember Pokemon Crater regardless of those events.)

The petition is now closed. Unfortunately, we only had ten people as of now, but everything counts! Let’s hope by tomorrow that Sir Aaron will have a change of heart. (fingers crossed!!!)

New Featured Pokemon (Kyogre!) and updates nearing completion

Kyogre is the latest featured Pokemon in honor of Pokemon Oceans and MylesPrower, and Kyogreky as well. The Catch ‘Em All guide should be finished shortly, and the type chart is next. A new quote should also be released. The Mystery Dungeon Page and another fun new page will be done within the month of December. Keep voting for the next section (I will accept vote-comments here as well!), and bye for now!

Life Goes On

Well, although we should keep petitioning until November 30, life goes on. I have some news…

1. I’m working on the Catch ‘Em All Guide in the Crater Cheats, Chat and Trades section for those who need it in Pokemon Crater’s final hours. (or days, rather)

2. The featured Pokemon’s entry will be completed shortly.

3. You can now comment to vote for the next part of Pokemon Strategy!! They can be one of the following: Battle Combos (about useful battle combinations in Single or Double battles, competitive or in-game – much more than just Sunny Day/Solarbeam!!), Training Tips (which includes what EVs and IVs are, how to get easy EVs, how to train Pokemon well, and more), or Abilities and Characteristics (pretty self-explanatory). Just to let you know, Abilities/Characteristics will take the shortest amount of time, Battle Combos will take a moderate amount of time, and Training Tips will take the longest. 

4. Pokemon Oceans is now Pokemon Strategy’s offical companion site! You can visit it at http://mylesprower.wordpress.com/ . Some current events happening there: a vote for the Best of Type, Battle Revolution: Friendspace, free Pokemon giveaways, a forum, and also some cool combos and strategies! Be sure to check it out

POKEMON CRATER IS CLOSING DOWN FOREVER ON DECEMBER 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the saddest days in history. I will save my record on Pokemon Crater, but first we have to petition. It can’t go without a fight! Let’s do something to stop it!!

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!

According to Beckett Pokemon, the Giratina version will be dubbed ‘Platinum Version’ and released in spring 2009!! It is unconfirmed by any other sources, but we’ll just have to see what happens! They also released the news of a ‘Ranger DS’ coming out in Fall 2008, as well as Mystery Dungeon 2, which IS confirmed. In fact, it’s one of the most popular games in Japan at the moment! Speaking of Mystery Dungeon…

Psyduck (formerly sheimigirl) has decided to work on a Mystery Dungeon page with me. Stay tuned for more info on this ‘Mysterious’ new page and further news on Giratina’s version!

New PC Cheat!!

There are now two Pokemon Crater cheats: how to find Pokemon quickly, and how to get more than one legendary. The new cheat can be really helpful for getting good Pokemon for one of your multiple legendaries!

Sorry about the multiple posts, but I’ve been taking advantage of the long weekend. Mwahahahahahahahaa!

By popular demand and requests, here are the upgrades I will add to the site in the near future…

 -a Pokedex (finally!!) including level-up moves and stats

-a type chart – who’s weak to who?

-a Pokemon Crater Catch ‘Em All guide, so you can find that special Pokemon you’ve been searching for for ages

-one part of the walkthrough: where to find all the items, from Lagging Tails to Lustrous Orbs, the Seal Case to the TM Sandstorm, and even how to get Lucky Eggs, Light Balls, Enigma Berries and other rare items

-and last but not least, another Pokemon Strategy! Here are your hints this time: This Pokemon can call forth sun or rain, and is known to help ancient villages by doing so. It (yes, IT…)  is found in Mt. Coronet and Turnback Cave, and is probably the toughest of Elite Four Lucian’s Pokemon. If not a little odd and hard to get used to, this Pokemon can be a solid addition to your team. This Pokemon will be called forth in a couple of days, so keep on the lookout! There are also sunny skies ahead in this section, because from now on, I will have the Pokemon’s sprite beside it!
